In the morning hours of Wednesday, June 7, Johnson County Sheriff’s Deputy Terry Tussey was dispatched to a single vehicle crash with injuries on KY Route 581 in River. Upon arrival at the scene, Deputy Tussey suspected the driver, Jeffery Osbourne, 36, of River, was under the influence and searched the subject. Osbourne was found in possession of eight small bags of a crystal substance hidden in a tobacco can, one suboxone strip, drug paraphernalia, and $101. He was treated at Paul B. Hall Medical Center for his injuries, then transferred to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center. Osbourne is facing charges of DUI, possession of controlled substance, trafficking, and no license.
