Around 12:10pm June 8, Knox County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a burglary in progress at a residence on Highway 930 in Himyar. When the deputies arrived, they observed an adult and three juveniles in the driveway of the residence along with a pick-up truck and an ATV. Two of the juveniles fled on foot into a wooded area. Several items stolen from the residence found inside the bed of a pickup belonging to one of the juveniles, and a clothes dryer strapped to the back of the adult’s ATV. Deputies arrested Allen Honeycutt, 38, of Artemus, charging him with 2nd-degree burglary and unlawful transaction with a minor. One of the juveniles was taken into custody and charged with burglary before being released to a family member. Two other juveniles were later identified and charged before being released to family members.
