State highway equipment operators from Letcher, Pike, Knott, Floyd, Martin, Johnson, and Lawrence counties will be attending a Skills Competition at Archer Park on Friday, June 9. Operators will demonstrate their skills driving snow plows and low boy trucks through obstacle courses and maneuvering backhoe scoops to take golf balls out of a sandbox and onto a highway cone. The Skills Roadeo will be from 9am to 3:30pm.
