Floyd County Schools Early Childhood Programs Receive 5 Stars

Floyd County Schools’ Early Childhood classrooms achieved the highest rating on the Kentucky All STARS quality and improvement rating system for early childhood settings. All eight elementary schools and the sixteen Early Childhood classrooms in those schools have earned the highest possible rating of five stars on the Kentucky All STARS rating system. Superintendent Dr. Henry Webb said the rating means the Early Childhood program is a program of excellence. The program was evaluated on everything from recess to classroom instruction. To achieve levels three through five, classrooms must go beyond the requirements of classroom instruction and professional growth.
