In recognition of the 75^th Anniversary of Blue Grass Army Depot, U.S. Representative Andy Barr and Governor Matt Bevin are issuing separate public acknowledgements marking the occasion. Congressman Barr will issue a commendation to be entered into the Congressional Record on June 20, 2017, honoring the Depot and its civilian workforce for its history and critical role as a key munitions supplier to U.S. joint warfighters around the world since World War II. Governor Bevin will issue an Acclamation on June 28 in a short ceremony at the Kentucky State Capital, which will be presented to the Depot’s Commanding Officer, Colonel Norbert A. Fochs. The Blue Grass Army Depot will behind celebrating its 75^th anniversary beginning June 19.
