Due to a line break Paintsville Utilities has voluntarily issued a boil water advisory for US 23 North from Dogwood Fork to the Lawrence County line, including all side roads in between. Although no contamination has been confirmed, the advisory is being issued as a precautionary measure and is in effect until further notice. Water used for drinking, ice, cooking, washing dishes, brushing teeth, or food preparation should be brought to a rolling boil for three minutes to remove any contaminants.
