In order to replace a drainage structure, the Kentucky Department of Highways plans to close KY 2022 at Squabble Creek Road in Perry County on Saturday, July 15. The road will be closed at milepoint 3.165, north of the Owsley County line near the Middle Squabble community. The project will begin around 8am and will continue until around 5pm. During this time, the road will be closed to all through traffic. No marked detour will be posted. Drivers will need to detour through Owsley, Clay, and Leslie counties via KY 484, KY 1428, US 421, KY 118, the Hal Rogers Parkway, and KY 15 to reach Hazard via Hyden. Motorists should plan accordingly as a lengthy alternate route is required. Provisions will be made for emergency vehicles as needed.
