An accident occurred around 7pm at Route 302 near Lancer in Floyd County on Monday, July 3. Three pedestrians were struck while walking alongside the road, one of the injured being a small child. The condition of the victims is unknown at this time. The Floyd County Sheriff’s Office made two arrests following the accident. Michael Sanders was arrested for DUI and leaving the scene of an accident. The passenger, Shana Sanders, was charged with hindering prosecution and falsely reporting an incident. Both were lodged in the Floyd County Detention Center.
