Attorney General Andy Beshear announced Friday, June 30 that his office returned nearly $8 million to the state’s General Fund from a variety of civil settlements over the recent fiscal year. Included in the amount were settlements received in the previous week from a Johnson & Johnson subsidiary and Bryant Heating and Cooling Co. Inc., which totaled more than $1 million. Beshear said that he is proud his office is doing its part to secure million of dollars for the state when its budget is currently facing a projected shortfall of $113 million.
