On Wednesday, July 5, Laurel County Deputies responded to a complaint of a male subject at a business creating a disturbance and threatening people inside the building. The man, Christopher Evans, 44, of East Bernstadt, was armed with a stick, which he was swinging at persons there. He was asked to leave, but returned 30 minutes later, creating a disturbance and threatening to burn the building down with people inside. Deputies disarmed the man and arrested him. Evans was charged with disorderly conduct, terroristic threatening, and criminal trespassing. He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
