Berea Pharmacist Sentenced for Illegal Dispensing

A Berea Pharmacist, who was convicted of 71 counts involving the illegal dispensing of oxycodone, hydrocodone, and pseudophedrine, was sentenced of June 30 to 30 years in prison. U.S. District Judge Danny Reeves sentenced Lonnie Hubbard, age 41, for 57 counts involving the illegal dispensing of controlled substances without a legitimate medical purpose and dispensing pseudophedrine knowing would be used to manufacture methamphetamine; maintain a drug involved premises; and 13 counts involving money laundering. From 2013 to 2015, Hubbard’s RX Discount Pharmacy of Berea was the number one independent pharmacy retailer of pseudophedrine in Kentucky.
