The Perry County Sheriff Department received a call of a possible burglary around 11:46am Thursday, July 6, at 183 Rolling Ridge Drive in Dice. Deputies responded to the scene to find the front door of the house open and the lock broken. During a search of the house and property, deputies located 30 marijuana plants, 7 rifles, 2 handguns, 2 compound bows, 1 cross bow and a large amount of ammunition. Samuel Brashear was arrested and charged with cultivation of marijuana plants, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. He was lodged in the Kentucky River Regional Jail.
