On Sunday, July 9, around 9am, Laurel County Deputies were dispatched to a complaint of a male subject possibly intoxicated in the driver’s seat of a vehicle. Upon arrival, deputies located a man, Jamieson Minton, 22, in the driver’s seat, leaned over the center console. Minton was determined to be under the influence. A search of the vehicle found a 9mm handgun, scales, clear plastic bags, and bags containing suboxone tablets, marijuana, suspected crystal meth, and $314 cash. Minton was arrested and charged with DUI and trafficking controlled substance. He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
