On Wednesday, July 12, around 9:47pm, Kentucky State Police was contacted by Morgan County dispatch about a two vehicle collision at the 62 mile marker on the Mountain Parkway in Morgan County. Emergency personnel responded to the scene, where an investigation determined that James Couch, 16, of Stambaugh, was traveling westbound when he crossed the center lane and struck a tractor trailer operator by Justin Robinson, 31, of Olive Hill, who was traveling eastbound. Couch was airlifted to UK Medical Center where he is listed in critical condition.
