Laurel County Woman Arrested for Disorderly Conduct Following Assault Complaint

Around 1am July 19, Laurel County Deputies responded to a complaint of an intoxicated person trying to fight individuals at a residence off Loretta Lane. Upon arrival, Deputy Gary Mehler made contact with the complainant, who said the subject, Brandy Karner, 35, had calmed down and gone to bed. Deputy Mehler was called back to the scene 30 minutes later following by a call from Karner, who alleged she had been assaulted. An investigation determined no evidence of the claim. Karner was arrested for public intoxication and disorderly conduct and lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
