On July 19, around 7pm, Pound Police Department led a criminal investigation that uncovered a methamphetamine lab dump site. The Drug Task Force said it was the largest in Southwest Virginia’s history. The criminal investigation was led by Assistant Chief Christ Strange and Detective Tim McAfee, which uncovered 186 meth labs that had been dumped over an embankment on Old Mill Village Road in Pound, VA. Several agencies assisted with the seizure and processing of evidence, which took over five hours.
