Kentucky Community and Technical College System President Jay Box announced Wednesday, July 19 the appointment of Dr. Sherry Zylka as president of Big Sandy Community and Technical College. Zylka is currently provost of Wayne County Community College District in Detroit. Box said Dr. Zylka’s background and extensive higher education experience will make her a great asset for the college and the community. Zylka said she is looking forward to getting to know the students, faculty and staff, and learn more about the community and workforce partners. Dr. Zylka will begin her duties as BSCTC president on October 1.
