Around 2:30pm, Monday, July 24, Laurel County Sheriff’s Sgt. Brett Reeves responded to a possible break-in at a residence off Edgewater Road. Sgt. Reeves learned the subject, Paul Jackson Jr., 43, entered the home through a rear locked door of the home, which was occupied by a female juvenile at the time. He was observed by the juvenile holding two firearms, which he allegedly took from the gun cabinet. After making contact with the female, Jackson left the firearms and left the residence. He was charged with burglary and lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
