On July 24, at approximately 6:57pm, the Kentucky State Police Post 8-Morehead was notified of a single vehicle collision on Lower Gilmore Road, near the Upper Gilmore Road split. Emergency personnel responded to the scene. AN investigation determined Anthony Fallen, 57, of Hazel Green, was operating his 1996 Ford pickup southbound on Lower Gilmore, when the vehicle exited the roadway to the right. Mr. Fallen over-corrected, crossing the northbound lane, and struck the embankment along the roadway. He was airlifted from the scene and transported to the UK Medical Center in Lexington.
