Floyd County Sheriff’s Deputies, along with Martin Police, executed a search warrant at a residence on Chestnut Street in Martin the evening of July 26. The search was a result of an investigation into suspected illegal drug trafficking from the residence of Edgar Brown. During their investigation, deputies say they bought illegal drugs from Brown on two or more occasions. Multiple drugs, electronic devices and cash were taken as a result of the search. Edgar Brown, 55, was arrested on charges of trafficking in controlled substance and legend drug, and tampering with physical evidence. Bobby Murphy, 29, was charged with three counts of trafficking in controlled substance. Both were lodged in the Floyd County Jail.
