The Johnson County Board of Education has announced that Mr. Thom Cochran has been selected to serve as Superintendent of the Johnson County School System. Mr. Cochran is a 19 year veteran of the Johnson County School System. Beginning his career as a Special Education Teacher, he then moved on to become Assistant Principal at Johnson County Middle School, and Johnson Central High School, as well as Athletic Director. Prior to being hired as Superintendent, he held the title of Interim District Innovations Coordinator. Regarding his new position as Superintendent, Thom Cochran said he was humbled and honored by the opportunity, and that he looks forward to continuing the outstanding traditions of the Johnson County School System.
