The Kentucky Board of Home Inspectors announced this month that the number of licensed home inspectors in Kentucky has reached an all-time high with 450 licensed inspectors. Since January, the board has experience a 10 percent growth in the number of licensed home inspectors, and the trend is expected to continue as real estate transactions increase across the state. Kentucky’s 450 licensed home inspectors cover all of the state’s 120 counties, with additional inspectors needed in many areas. The KBHI currently has a goal of licensing an additional 400 home inspectors in the next two years. KBHI Chair Bud Wenk said the process to become a home inspector is relatively easy and is rewarding work. For more information on how to become a home inspector, visit bhi.ky.gov.
