Around 9:15pm Saturday, August 5, 2017, the Bell County Coroner’s Office was contact by Bell County Dispatch and requested at the scene of a motor vehicle accident on US Highway 119, neat the Calvin Community. Upon arrival, Bell County Coroner Jay Steele was updated by officials on scene and confirmed two fatalities as the result of the accident. Johnny Fields, 46, of Arjay, was traveling south toward Pineville while Howard Enix, 40, of Louisville was traveling north toward Harlan, when the two vehicles collided on Varilla Curve. Neither men had passengers in their vehicles.
