On Thursday, Attorney General Andy Beshear announced a Pike County grand jury has indicted a former employee of the Pike County Master Commissioner’s Office. Linda Chaney, aka Linda Anderson, 46 of Georgetown, KY, has been indicted on theft by unlawful taking over $10,000 and forgery, second degree. An investigation by the Office of the Attorney General’s Department of Criminal Investigations alleges that between December 1, 2014 and March 21, 2016, Chaney wrote checks to herself totaling more than $126,500. Beshear said she allegedly altered bank and office records to conceal the thefts.
