Laurel County Deputies made an arrest off Glenview Road following a domestic violence complaint Wednesday, August 16. The complaint was at a residence on Helvetia Road. Upon arrival, deputies learned the suspect, James Johnson, 45, had fled the scene and was armed with a gun. Johnson was found hiding in an outbuilding on Glenview Road. When deputies arrived, the suspect exited the building, pointing a loaded handgun at deputies. After several commands to do so, Johnson disarmed himself but struggled with deputies making the arrest. He was charged with assault, wanton endangerment, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and fleeing or evading police. He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
