The bridge on KY 40 in Martin County near Tomahawk will re-open the afternoon of August 18, according to Highway District 12 Bridge Engineer Shane Allen. The bridge is at the 6.9 mile marker near the intersection with KY 1184 Milo Road. The bridge was closed in May following an inspection which showed substantial deterioration of the substructure. District 12’s bridge crew made the repairs, which involved wrapping the abutments and piers with reinforce concrete.
