On Friday, August 18, at 11:23pm, Kentucky State Police Post 8 Morehead was notified of a two vehicle collision involving two all-terrain vehicles on Kentucky Highway 1620 in Elliot County. An investigation determined Christopher Arthurs, 18, of Olive hill, was traveling north on Highway 1620 when his ATV four wheeler struck the back of a Razor ATV driven by Tyler Rayburn, 19, also of Oliver Hill. The collision knocked Arthurs off his ATV and on to the pavement. He was transported to St. Claire Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased. Mr. Rayburn did not sustain any injuries.
