Arrest Made in Laurel County Burglary Investigation

On Thursday, August 24, the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest off Dixon Drive in the edge of Knox County while conducting an investigation into a burglary which had occurred on Cane Creek Road in southern Laurel County. The burglary occurred on August 10 and deputies developed information on an additional suspect and the possible whereabouts of reported stolen property. Heather Lynn Elliott, 36 of Corbin, was found in possession of a reported stolen television that had been damaged, as well as had bought a pistol and shotgun but had sold them and would not reveal their location. Elliott was charged with receiving stolen property and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
