Registration for the annual Kentucky Becoming an Outdoors-Woman workshop is now open. The weekend program is designed for woman 18 and older who want to learn more about the outdoors and develop a variety of outdoor skills, including hunting and fishing. The event is Sept. 15-17 at Camp Robert C. Webb on Grayson Lake. The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources sponsors the Becoming an Outdoors-Woman (BOW) program, which more than 3,000 women have attended since it began. Classes offered include basic hunting, advanced fishing, basic rifle use, introduction to crossbows and more. Four classes are included with registration along with meals and lodging at the conservation camp. Participants may also bring their own tent and camp, or stay at a local hotel. BOW only costs $95 a person. The program runs from noon Friday through noon Sunday. Participants should have a hunting or fishing license.
