Paris, KY Men Sentenced for Conspiracy to Distribute Crack Cocaine

On Thursday, August 31, Aaron Shakir, 36, and Tracey Thomas, 51, both of Paris, KY, were sentenced for conspiring to distribute 28 grams or more of crack cocaine in Paris, during June and July 2016. Shakir was sentenced to 35 years, and Thomas was sentenced to 12 years in prison. Thomas plead guilty in May 2017 to conspiring with Shakir to distribute, while a federal jury found Shakir guilty that same month. Upon release, both will be under probation for eight years.
