Laurel County Deputy Rick Cloyd arrested a reportedly 21-year-old female who refused to identify herself on Thursday, August 31, around 2:46pm. The arrest occurred off Day Ridge Road after a complaint that a female had allegedly kicked open the front door of a residence and was fighting with the home owner. Upon arrival at the scene, an investigation was conducted which determined the suspect was under the influence. Upon arrest, the suspect began assaulting Deputy Cloyd and resisting arrest. She was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
