Two Men Injured During Fight in Knott County

An altercation in Knott County late Monday evening sent two men to the hospital while a third was lodged in a local detention center.  Kentucky State Police Post 13 received a call around 9:48 p.m., on September 4, advising that three men were fighting in the roadway on Mullins Branch Road in the Kite community.  Troopers with KSP Post 13 responded to the scene along with a Knott County Sheriff’s deputy.  At the scene, it was determined that Kelvin Hall, Justin Caudill and Terri Sutton, all of Knott County, were involved in a physical altercation when Terri Sutton pulled out a knife and assaulted Kelvin Hall with it.  Kelvin Hall was air lifted to Pikeville Medical Center for medical attention of injuries received during this argument.  Justin Caudill also received apparent laceration wounds and was transferred to McDowell Appalachian Regional Hospital for treatment of his injuries.  Terri Sutton was arrested and charged with Assault 1st Degree, and was lodged in the Kentucky River Regional Jail.
