Kentucky Infrastructure Coalition Launched to Prevent Decline in State Infrastructure

Kentuckians for Better Transportation has announced the launching of the Kentucky Infrastructure Coalition to help prevent a serious decline in Kentucky’s infrastructure. The Kentucky Infrastructure Coalition, more than 30 diverse organizations representing manufacturers, farmers, economic development leaders and transportation workers, will educate the public about the importance of a safe, adequate transportation system and advocate for stable funding for roads, bridges, rails, riverports, and airports. Kentuckians for Better Transportation Executive Director Juva Barber said road fund losses of more than $200 million threaten Kentucky’s access to global markets, jobs creation, and family budgets facing higher vehicle maintenance costs due to poorly maintained roads.
