Floyd County Schools See Increase in ACT Scores

Floyd County Schools are reporting that ACT scores have improved in all testing areas of English, Mathematics, Reading, and Science. The composite average score for the district is 18.9, an increase of .7 from 2016 test results. Superintendent Steve Trimble said the board team is happy with the increase in scores, they aren’t yet there to their goal of 19.5 average. He added they will continue working to get better to ensure students have higher schools for better opportunities at scholarships and acceptance into specific colleges and programs.
