London Woman Arrested for Methamphetamine

On Sunday, September 17, at 8pm, London Police responded to a drug complaint regarding a vehicle in a parking lot on KY-192. Upon arrival at Frisch’s, Officer Jacob Bormann found Brandy Smith, 20, of London, sitting in the driver’s seat of her vehicle attempting to conceal something under her leg. She became visibly nervous when asked what was being concealed. When she was asked to step out of the vehicle, a small clear plastic baggy containing a white crystal substance became visible. A search of the vehicle was conducted with K-9 Jack, uncovering eight grams of methamphetamine and some cash. Smith was arrested and charged with trafficking and possession of controlled substance and lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
