On Friday, September 22, around 5:10pm, Laurel County Deputy Rick Cloyd responded to a motor vehicle crash on US 25W. A gold colored 2003 Ford Taurus, driven by Norma Lewis Smith, allegedly crashed into another vehicle in the rear. The other car was stopped in traffic at the time. AN investigation determined Smith was under the influence. She was arrested for DUI and lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
