Road Break Repair to Begin this Week in Pike County

Road work to fix breaks on three routes in Pike County is expected to begin early this week. Work will begin on KY 611, which will close the road to traffic while the drill is operating. The work is expected to take only one day. Upon completion, work will then move to KY 881 at mile point six. Drivers are encouraged to use Ford Mountain to avoid delays. The road will be closed in the work zone during the two day operation. At the end of the week, or possibly next week, weather pending, District 12 crews will move to KY 3227, drilling two sites close to the fish pond. These locations are expected to take no longer than two days. While roads will be closed at each site during the work, school buses will be accomodated. Following drilling completion, each site will be excavated and backfilled.
