On Tuesday, October 3, a paving project will begin in Letcher County, from Thornton Bridge up KY1862, a little over eight miles, to just below J.D. Drive. There will be traffic delays as the crew paves one lane at a time. Ken Mullins, Engineering Tech with Highway District 12’s Section Office in Whitesburg, said the contractor should be working on this 8.2 mile stretch for about a week and a half.
