Retired KSP Detective Receives Award from Statewide Child Abuse Prevention Organization

Retired Kentucky State Police Detective Anthony Gatson was recognized by Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky as a “Champion for Children” during the 21st annual Kids Are Worth It! Conference in Louisville on September 18. He is the recipient of the ninth annual law enforcement award given by the organization. Gatson began working Internet Crimes Against Children cases in 2009 and was solely responsible for Operation Internet Angel, which culminated in the arrest of 29 suspects for distribution and possession of child pornography.
