A Johnson County man has been arrested for assaulting a pregnant woman. The woman, who has not been identified, is a caregiver as a residence on Jenny’s Creek Road in Hager Hill, where the incident occurred. Ronnie Adkins, 20, of Hager Hill, allegedly hit the woman around the stomach and chest, as well as her head and back, before attempting to sexually assault her. The caregiver fled to a neighbor’s home for assistance. Adkins was charged with third-degree assault and lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
