Beginning Monday, October 16, the Pike County Sheriff’s Office will begin collection items for the Westcare Homeless Shelter care kits. Westcare Staff visit various areas in Pike County with homeless populations to leave kits containing food and supplies. If you would like to contribute to the drive, items you can bring to the Sheriff’s office include canned food with pop tops, socks, gloves, lip balm, spoons, flashlights, wipes, bottled water, hand warmers and winter hats. Items must be new and unwashed. Items will be collected between October 16 and October 31.
