On Thursday, October 5, Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a complaint at a residence off KY 490. The complaint alleged Darrel Holt, 26, of East Bernstadt, was physically striking his mother and a home owner there. When deputies arrived at the scene, they located the subject nearby and conducted an investigation. Holt allegedly struck his mother four times and threatened to kill her in her sleep, in addition to striking the homeowner. Holy was arrested and charged with two counts of assault. He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
