McConnell, Pruitt Announce Withdraw of Obama-Era Clean Power Plan

On Monday, October 9, at a gathering in Hazard, EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt, alongside Senator Mitch McConnell, announced he will be withdrawing the clean power plan restrictions that were imposed in the Obama administration. The two said the war on coal is now over. The hope with rolling back the restrictions is to decrease the loss of coal jobs that occurred under the mandate.
