Two Injured in Johnson County After Truck Crashes into Residence

On Monday, October 9 around 10am, the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, Paintsville EMS and West Van Lear Fire Department responded to a 911 call of a single vehicle accident on KY Route 1007 in the Powell Addition area of Van Lear. Ramey Williams, 41 of Van Lear, was driving a 2003 Ford F150 when he lost control of the vehicle. The pickup truck ran off the right side of the roadway and then reentered the roadway. As the pickup crossed the roadway it entered the lawn of a residence owned by Donnie Witten, striking a BMW parked in the yard and continued into the side of the residence. Williams was transported to Pikeville Medical Center for treatment of injuries, while his passenger, Linda Litteral, 45, was transported to Paul B. Hall Medical Center.
