A Community Health Fair will be held on Thursday, October 12 at the Floyd County Health Department from 8am to 2pm. The Big Sandy Diabetes Coalition will offer diabetes screenings, and Highlands Regional Medical Center will provide cholesterol screenings. Information will also be available about immunizations, cancer screenings, maternal child health, nutrition, and tobacco cessation. Free breakfast snacks, coffee, and juice will be provided. The first 50 attendees to visit every vendor will receive a $5 Jenny Wiley Festival Food Voucher and drawings will be held to win $50 and $20 Walmart Gift Cards. The Floyd County Health Department is located at 283 Goble Street in Prestonsburg.
