BSCTC to Commemorate 500th Anniversary of the Protestant Reformation

On Thursday, October 19, at 6pm, Big Sandy Community and Technical College will present a program entitled “Martin Luther 500: Assessing the Impact of the Reformation.” Martin Luther 500 will consider the impact of the Reformation on religion, art, science, and women. The program will open with original hymns composed by Martin Luther and be performed by Clayton Case. BSCTC Professor of Philosophy and Religious Studies Dr. Alan Profitt will give a presentation on Luther. Martin Luther 500 will take place in Room 102 of the Johnson Building on the Prestonsburg campus of Big Sandy Community and Technical College, and is free and open to the public.
