On Wednesday, October 11, Johnson County Sheriff Deputy JP Primm was dispatched to a scene involving a possible altercation. Upon arrival, the subject, Tyler Sproose, 21 of Jackson, OH, had fled the scene. A search of the area was conducted and he was located walking on the Paintsville Lake Road. Sproose was covered in blood and had a cut on his wrist. He had a knife and began moving toward the deputy after failing to comply to put it down. He was tasered and taken into custody. Sproose was charged with wanton endangerment and lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
