Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the scene of an assault complaint on October 18, around 3:30pm. A male subject was allegedly attempting to assault individuals at a residence off Fultz Road. The subject, identified as Brandon Fultz-Ray, 22 of East Bernstadt, had fled into the woods behind the residence when deputies arrived. He was discovered by a K9 unit in the woods, hiding under leaves, where he was arrested without incident. Fultz-Ray allegedly became violent with two females at the residence, and struck a 17-year-old female victim before attempting to strangle her. He was charged with assault and fleeing police.
