Attorney General Andy Beshear and his Department of Criminal Investigations Cyber Crimes Unit announced on October 23 that a 45-year-old Tennessee man was arrested for allegedly seeking sex with a minor. Billie Gene Spears, of Jacksboro, was arrested by Beshear’s office on October 21 in Frankfort and charged with one county unlawful use of electronic means to induce a minor to engage in sex. Spears was the subject of a two-week investigation after allegedly seeking sex with a minor and sending sexually explicit text messages and emails to DCI cyber investigators.
