Two were arrested in Laurel County following a report of suspicious activity in a grocery store parking lot on Saturday, October 21. Deputies investigating conducted a check on the license plate and VIN number of the vehicle and discovered it had been reported stolen. Deputy Daniel Grigsby interviewed a female in the store and learned she was an occupant of the vehicle. A male subject fled the scene but was located by Deputies Charlie Johnson and Jamie Etherton. Elisha Carpenter, 40, and her husband, William Malicoat, 36, were arrested and charged with receiving stolen property and possession of controlled substance.
